Traditional Martial Arts For All Ages

Our school offers a well-rounded Traditional Martial Arts program concentrating on Shorinji-Ryu, a style of Okinawan Karate. Character development is placed at the forefront of our teachings with the underlying theme of Respect. We teach that, “Karate Begins and Ends With Respect.”

Our staff of professional instructors will help students increase their fitness, stamina and strength as they develop a new level of mind and body coordination. Our excellent self-defense training integrates the kicking, punching, striking and blocking skills of karate along with the joint locks, arm bars, submission holds and movement of Aikijujutsu.

Pre-Karate Program for Ages 4-6

Curriculum in this program is specifically designed for children ages 4 to 6 and centers around instruction in Traditional Karate. The classes are taught by our carefully selected professional instructors and are offered in a fun and safe environment. Students work in groups and also receive individual instruction. Students are taught respect, self-control and other life skills. They learn to focus their attention and channel their energy, gain balance and coordination, all while developing self-confidence and self-esteem.

Youth Program for Ages 7-14

Karate is fun, safe and a practical means of self-defense. Students increase fitness, stamina, speed and coordination. They learn to focus their attention and direct their energy in a positive manner. Our classes include our award winning program, Successful Life Skills For Children. This program is divided into two parts, School Safe/Street Safe and Character Development.

Karate teaches life skills such as respect, goal setting and leadership. Through regular training students will gain confidence, self-control and self-esteem while developing personal protection. This program is split by experience levels giving our staff the ability to concentrate on the individual needs of our students.

Adult Program

This program is for men and women 15 and older. Our goal is for you to develop effective self-defense skills while building a healthy lifestyle. You will train with professional instructors in a fun and safe environment.

As a new student you receive individual attention until you are ready to join the full class. The program is non-competitive and you will progress at your own rate. Over a period of regular training you will increase your fitness, flexibility, strength, coordination, stamina and energy. This is a great way to relieve stress, develop self-discipline, self-control and a “Yes I Can!” attitude, all while achieving personal protection skills.

Weapon Training (Kobudo)

As students advance in rank they have the privilege of studying Kobudo, ancient weaponry, in a very safe environment. We teach:

  • Tanbo (22″ Stick)
  • Bo (4′-6′ Staff)
  • Sai
  • Tonfa
  • Kama
  • Yari (Spear)
  • and Nunchaku

Weapons training teaches important principles such as concentration, precision of movement, attention to detail, ability to close distance quickly and effectively, and it’s a lot of fun!

T’ai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung

Our T’ai Chi and Chi Kung program provides excellent mind and body exercise for men and women of all ages. Build a healthy lifestyle, increase fitness, flexibility, energy and relieve stress while developing self-discipline, self-control and confidence. We offer morning and evening classes in T’ai Chi.
